Ok so I met with the doctor today and he was needless to say very happy with my success. He was a different doctor from the office, not the original doctor I had met with. He asked about all the different things I was doing. He said he didn't really feel the need to change anything I was doing in the program since I was having such great success. I discussed with him the fact that I was about 18lbs shy of the weight that I normally plateau at. I told him that I felt like I was not going to have that issue do to the medications I was on but was wondering what to do if that happened. He said that they can change up the meds and also add in different supplements if that happens. Aside from what I am currently doing he would like to see me doing at least 30minutes of extra cardio a week. He said he was not overly concerned with me doing excess weight training right now. As I am trying to burn fat and lose weight. As we all know muscle weighs more than fat, so if I bulk up I will stop losing..granted I will tone up and lean down still. So I have increased my movement a little bit here and there but now that I am back to a some what normal schedule at work I am going to try and get back into some exercise classes at my gym. (I'm paying for it I might as well be going huh?) So anyway here's this weeks weight loss. I am only down 2.8lbs this week. So I have come to the conclusion that I agree with my coworker. I lose better when I am having the egg white at breakfast than when I am having the oatmeal at breakfast. I also think I have been having too many yummy snacks than protein snacks. (i.e. sugar free jello, yogurt, sugar free pudding instead of turkey breast, egg whites or tuna) They are just easier to pack in the luch sack I think...lol. I did however try something new this weekend, I packed my lunch the night before instead of the morning of, it really saved a lot of time and allowed me to be more selective because I didn't feel as rushed. So my goal for this week is to pack my lunches the night before work and to go to the gym (or somewhere) and get cardio in twice this week. I know he wants 4 times but I am taking those baby steps. If I get extra then wonderful. So till next time...have a great week.
p.s. I am doing a few hours of extra coverage at work next week Wednesday so I will not be weighing in that morning. I amy go late that afternoon or on Thursday, so no need to fear if I don't blog on Wednesday...I didn't quit. :)
This week 2.8lbs
Total to date-30.8lbs

Hooray Melissa! Packing lunch the night before is definitely a good approach. I feel that my lunch is better when I pack the night before as well. So proud of you! Keep it up!
