Week 5

Ok so I went for my week 5 weigh in today. I was kinda tired when I went in...funny how vacation hits you after you get home...lol. I got plenty of exercise on my trip. We walked the entire San Diego Zoo (except the botanical garden) and the entire Wild Animal Park, those 2 together had to have been at least 5 miles of walking (each was about5-6 hours of walking) plus we kayaked in the Pacific Ocean. I was pretty good with my eating. The only "bad" things I had were a little diet sprite, 1 diet coke, 2 pieces of meat from Rebecca's gyro (just meat nothing else) and a little regular dressing (maybe a 1.2tsp)....I'm pretty sure I burned all that off though...lol. Had a great salad at La Jolla beach ...spring mix with grilled veggies on top...yum, instead of dressing I used salsa. It hit the spot after kayaking and swimming with the sharks. (they were beautiful by the way). Ok back to my weigh in. I was tired and clearly couldn't subtract in my head because I was thinking I had only lost 2.6lbs so I checked with the nurse before I left and she did the math and said I was down 3.4lbs. Clearly my brain was not functioning yet. I was awaken by my dog not my alarm clock so I was a little groggy still...anyway that brings the grand total to 25lbs at the end of 5 weeks. Wow I am so excited that makes me half way to my first goal and I still have 7 weeks to go. I had said June 1st but I should say that date has been changed to June 4th because I weigh in on Wednesdays and the 1st is a Sunday. So there is my week 5 update.
