Week 16
Well it's been a little bit of a crazy week for me. It started off with a very stressful day that I have since let go but at the time really put an tailspin. I did behave and not react with food tough so that was good. Then a few days ago I began to have some tightness in my chest and some breathing issues at night until yesterday they never bothered me during the day. Today it was still bothering me but not as bad. So when I went in to the doctor's office to weigh in I mentioned it to the nurse. I was pretty sure it was my cough asthma acting up, but thought I should mention it just in case there was some other issue going on. The nurse checked my vitals as usual and all was fine but went to let the doctor know to see if wanted to check me out. Of course he did. So he came in listen to my heart and lungs and talked to me for a bit. Everything sounded and looked good so he agreed that it was probably my asthma as well. Guess we can chalk it up to the fires burning in California. He wrote me a prescription for a new albuterol inhaler since I don't have one anymore. I haven't had any issues since moving here so I haven't needed one. That was great because it saved me from having to find a doctor here and get an appointment. So I'll be taking that to get it filled shortly and all should be well soon. The good news is it didn't stop me from working out on Monday. I also placed my own ad on craigslist for a workout partner and have had a few responses. I am actually meeting up with a girl tomorrow to workout. (possibly 2 so I'll get in 2 workouts tomorrow) I've committed to and followed through on going even though I haven't had anyone to workout with but it's still more fun to have someone to workout with. I'm pretty proud that I have been going either way. And it has paid off this week as I lost another 3.2lbs which puts me at a total of 55.8lbs...wow that is pretty damn close to 60lbs huh? That's a small child, heck that is almost as much as my dog weighs. Crazy crazy crazy....but total motivation for continuing to get to the gym. (though I may give the lungs a rest today since it did get worse the day after working out....once I have my inhaler it will be much better) Again thank you guys for all of your support in my total lifestyle change.
