Week 14
Yippie!! That elusive number has been reached and passed. I finally hit my goal of 50lbs today...I needed 2lbs to get there and I lost (insert drum roll here) 3.2lbs this week. I have gotten almost half way through my book (Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle) and it is really opening my eyes to some great ideas as well as reaffirming some thoughts I already had. I went to GNC today and bought a pedometer and a body fat caliper. (both on sale!!) I was actually only looking for the caliper but saw the pedometer and have been meaning to buy one for awhile just to see how much I walk in a day at work so I grabbed it too. I also bought myself some new shorts since most everything I have is getting WAY to loose. I swear at the grocery store the other day if I had sneezed too hard my pants would have fallen down to my ankles...now I would have been a little embarrassed but a little proud at the same time. (hey Brenda would have been like the old days on I-20 huh? hehehe) I have to say I am feeling great and for the first time in a long time I actually enjoyed buying clothes...I even liked trying them on. I went to Torrid and bought 2 pairs of shorts. Now the funny thing about womens clothes is you cn wear different sizes depending on the cut and the maker. The last 2 sizes I bought from there (in November 07) were 26 and 28 I am proud to say today I put on 2 sizes as well a 14 & 16....WOW. That felt good....really good. I was actually doing a happy dance in the dressing room as opposed to a crying and sobbing and having to be talked in off of a ledge moment (some of you have witnessed that first hand and know it is not a pretty sight...lol). I am so glad that girl is gone. That mental & emotional baggage is gone, which I think has made the physical baggage a lot easier to let go of. So now I am down a total of 51.2lbs, which I am thinking is more than half way to my ideal weight. Not really sure what that number is but for now I'm thinking it will be around 100lbs total. I will have to see what happens as I begin to gain muscle. I bought the body fat caliper because the book recommends using it as a weekly measure along with the scale because muscle weighs more than fat and as you gain muscle and loss fat you numbers can decrease if you are only use a scale. So once I begin this program I will be using it as well. So till next week....be safe and I'll see ya soon.
