Denial is a wonderful and beautiful place....temporarily. Eventually something will shake you and wake you up from the dreamland. I really tried avoiding anything that was letting me know I was straying off the path in my journey then it happened I came to a dead end in the road and had no choice but to turn around. Before my trip to Georgia in March I went to buy some clothes for my trip and it was like a smack in my face to realize what I had let happen. I had gained about 2 sizes and was very upset with myself. Unlike my former self I did not break down in to tears in the dressing room followed by a double banana split to comfort the little girl inside. I simply decided that I would be conscious of what I was eating and get back on track. So I decided to enjoy my week in Georgia (with in reason) and get back on the hard core regimen when I returned. When I got home I weighed myself and accepted that I had gained almost 35lbs back. There I said it out loud....honesty is my return to sanity. I began the Alli (some of you may remember it being called Xenical when it was a prescription med) yesterday. I bought it Sunday and signed up on the online support. They actually recommend you starting your healthy eating (some say diet) first and get use to it for a few days then begin the pills. It doesn't claim that you can eat anything you want while you take it. They actually tell you that you have to workout and eat healthy to lose weight. They simply tell you that you can lose 2-3lbs more per every 5lbs you would lose with just regular diet and exercise. With my current weight (well where I was when I I got home) I am going to say that the total weight that I wanna lose is approximately 65lbs. This may change or stay the same as time goes on as we all know muscle weighs more than fat and I really just wanna be healthy and happy so that is my long term goal. Myalliplan.com recommended that I set a small goal to reach and continue setting those till I reach the long term goal. So here is my short term goal is 15lbs. I am happy to say since I got home a week ago I have lost 8lbs. This puts me 7lbs from my first goal. This was using my home scale however I am going to hook up my Wii back up today (I took it with me to Ga...lol) and use my Wii fit for my next goal as well as to get some exercise in. I am hoping I can reach my long term goal with in 6months. I think this is very attainable considering I lost 50lbs in 12weeks.
Short term goal: 15lbs
Weight lost this week: 8lbs
